How Our Sourcing Works

1. Farmer Registration

We register and verify each farmer or cooperative in our network to ensure full traceability.

2. Training & Support

Our agronomists and sourcing teams provide training on sustainable farming, disease control, fermentation methods, and post-harvest handling.

3. Harvest & Collection

During the harvest season, we buy wet or dried beans directly from registered farmers, ensuring immediate payment and fair pricing.

4. Quality Assessment

Beans are assessed for moisture, fermentation level, mold, and physical defects before entering our supply chain.

5. Documentation & Traceability

Each batch is recorded and tagged for full traceability from farm to final shipment.

Our cocoa is sourced from Sierra Leone’s rich agricultural zones, particularly:

  • Kailahun District

  • Kenema Region

  • Bo and Pujehun

These regions are known for their fertile soil, ideal climate, and generations of cocoa-growing expertise. We work hand-in-hand with smallholder farmers to help them implement best practices in harvesting, fermentation, and drying.
